Diagnosing and treating in real time. A knee evaluation.

48-year old male had an arthroscopic meniscectomy. He was experiencing mid-term lateral pain ten months post-operatively while trying to return to soccer. An office visit and VSI procedure ruled out meniscus re-tear, chondral defect or any loose bodies – thus eliminating the need for a potentially inconclusive MRI and/or additional surgery. Synovitis was identified as the cause of pain. Based upon the real-time diagnosis, a cortisone injection was administered to the precise location through the fluid entry port of the VisionScope® targeted-access cannula before removal. The patient was released from care with no further appointments scheduled.

Case shown is for illustration of VisionScope procedure only. Individual clinical results may vary.
